Now until December 31, 2018, LADWP is offering $0.25 per watt for residential solar energy systems. This amounts to an average of $2,500 for a 10 kW system (about 30 solar panels) in net savings to LA homeowners who apply for the incentive within the next five weeks.

There are approximately $7 million worth of rebate funds available for the program—enough for only 5,000–7,000 more homes to purchase a solar energy system and cash in before the end-of-the-year deadline.
