Going solar is a courageous decision. Most of us grew up in a society where solar wasn’t an option and it was expected of you to pay in to the power company for your electricity. Over the past ten years, the implementation of solar technology has exploded and more homeowners are excited about the prospects of producing their own electricity. But sometimes as a gesture of pride—and other times as a tactic of curbing their expenditure—a homeowner will opt to do it themselves. Solar energy has gained a lot of popularity over the past several years, but there are still millions of homeowners across the U.S. who know little about it. Green Solar Technologies, a U.S. solar energy company, recently entered into an agreement with Spectrum Properties LLC, a California-based real estate investment company specializing in ADUs, to install residential solar panels on homes acquired by Spectrum Properties LLC. ADUs (accessory dwelling units) are separate living units either attached to or separate from the main home.
