Green Solar Technologies is more than a solar energy provider because while our business is contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment and lowering consumer electricity costs, our mission has always truly been to improve people’s lives. That’s why Green Solar Technologies has donated over $50,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and continues to donate to this worthy cause. The original $50,000 was committed by GST to St. Jude with a set amount going to St. Jude for every solar panel installation with a minimum commitment of $50k, but after seeing how much this helped the children at St. Jude, Green Solar Technologies is inspired to continue donating.
As stated on St. Jude’s website, “The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay,”. They further state that St. Jude is committed to providing free treatment “because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”
Since 1962, the advancements made at St. Jude have contributed to increasing the survival rate of children with cancer from 20% to over 80% (about 420,000 survivors nationwide), and they have promised they will not stop until the survival rate is a firm 100%.
Green Solar Technologies is moved by St. Jude’s commitment to lessen the burden on families who are going through these trying times.
